We are committed to safeguarding your privacy. This policy – together with the SSAIB Rules and any other documents referred to on it – sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us. Ace Thames Security Ltd is a “Data Controller,” which means that we are responsible for deciding how we hold and use personal information about you. We are required – under data protection legislation – to notify you of the information contained in this privacy notice.
This notice applies to all homeowners who have had a security system installed by Ace Thames Security Ltd.

What information do we collect?

We hold details of your name and address. We hold this information to enable us to comply with statutory obligations and to pursue our legitimate interests for the purposes set out in the section below.

How do we use your personal data?

We may use your personal data to:
•Process enquiries and orders from our clients
•To carry out any obligations arising from any contracts entered into
•Dealing with system users and keyholders in relation to installed and maintained systems
•Notification of changes to our services
•To contact you with regards you annual maintenance
•To ascertain if you remain a maintained client
•Reissue lost certificates;
•Deal with enquiries and complaints made by you relating to your installation.
If we need to use your personal information for an unrelated purpose, we will notify you and we will explain the legal basis which allows us to do so.

Disclosing your personal data to others

We may pass information to our third-party service providers, agents subcontractors and other associated organisations for the purposes of completing tasks and providing services on our behalf albeit this is normally limited to employees, our contracted monitoring companies or the SSAIB. However, when we use third party service providers, we disclose only the personal information that is necessary to deliver the service and we have a contract in place that requires them to keep all information secure and not to use it for their own direct marketing purposes. Please be reassured that we will never release any information to third parties beyond approved subcontractors for them to use for their own direct marketing purposes in any circumstance unless we are required to do so by law, for example, by a court order or for the purposes of prosecution or prevention of crime.
